Joseph had a Dream

There may be times in your life when you do not understand the will of God or you are not sure of what is happening. When you lack a full progressive revelation of what God is doing, you
may begin to say “I don’t understand. I can’t see the plan. God has passed me by. God, you don’t love me. What’s going on?”

God has a plan for you and me. If we trust Him, our questions will melt away. Isaiah 5:3 says that because we do not have a revelation of God, we are taken into captivity.

WE NEED VISION! God has us in the school of the Holy Spirit. You are learning things about God. One day, it will unfold in ways you never imagined.

Our thoughts today are about: Joseph had a dream (Genesis 37-50). God was showing him that He was going to elevate him,
and no one would be able to question it. After revealing his dream to his brothers, they became jealous and had him thrown into a pit, and from the pit, he was thrown into a prison in Egypt.

Joseph may have thought that God had walked away from him; but God gave him favour with the prison warden. He was on the way to the palace. The Lord was with Joseph and made all
things prosper in his hands (Gen. 39:3). Joseph found favour with Pharoah and he made him overseer of his house and put all he had under his authority (v.5).

If you were God, what would you do if people rejected you and your “so great a salvation” (Hebrews 2:3) and hurt you with cutting words?

The 10 spies’ evil report cost them. It prevented them from
entering into God’s promise of being a God-created people with a purpose. Long before you were born, He wrote your story. You are anointed; you are called! No matter what you are going through HE IS STILL THERE! He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). God is never taken by surprise. Keep the faith through your tests.

What did Joseph do? Joseph’s testing proved that he had a dream from God. His life was not easy. He could have taken revenge on his brothers, but he knew that God was on the
throne doing what He wanted to do. In Genesis 50:20, Joseph said to his brothers, “But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to keep many people alive.”

Isaiah 43:2 says “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”

Our life depends upon the divine wisdom of God! We have rights and privileges as children of God. 1 Corinthians 2:9 says, “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into
the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” The NLB says, “…no heart has fully imagined… (understood).” People are seeking their own understanding.

Romans 12:2 says, “Do not be conformed to this world (the natural), but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect
will of God.”

It is not instant! We must study scripture and SEEK, SEEK, SEEK! Jesus said that if we SEEK, we will find (Matthew 7:7) — what God desires, allied with His plans. We must value what
God values.

Joseph stayed joyful to his call of God! In the days to come, we will see that the things we are experiencing will bring us to a higher level. The wait is just the preparation time for great
victories ahead in God. We are chosen for His purpose not ours! Knowing the will of God is one of the most beautiful things.

The future is now. It’s not a long way off. TODAY is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2). We don’t go back!

Joseph’s life of testing proved Jeremiah’s statement. God knows all about you, and that you can live the abundant life. When you understand that, you will walk in the victory of Jesus at the
Cross of Calvary.

In this church the future is now!

Shalom!
